Bryony Ella is an artist, designer and creative director whose practice explores the relationship between people and the natural world. Working at the intersection of art, science and climate activism, she creates installations, performances and participatory experiences that invite audiences to reconnect with nature through curiosity, care and collective action.

As Bryony’s practice expanded across public art, performance, painting and collaborative projects, her existing website no longer reflected the breadth of her work or the richness of the stories behind it. Our challenge was to create a digital space that could hold these different strands while remaining calm, intuitive and immersive.

The website was designed to foreground both the visual impact of the work and the narratives behind it. A restrained palette of earthy tones creates space for the vibrant imagery, while elegant typography and carefully structured content encourages visitors to delve deeper into each project.

Recognising the different ways Bryony works, we developed two distinct portfolio experiences. Her solo artworks are presented in a gallery that allows visitors to zoom into each painting, recreating something of the experience of standing in front of the work itself. Collaborative projects, performances and public installations are documented through richer editorial pages that combine photography, film and written context to capture the scale, process and collective nature of each commission.

The result is a website that reflects an evolving artistic practice with clarity and humanity, balancing visual richness with thoughtful storytelling. More than a portfolio, it offers visitors a deeper understanding of the ideas, collaborations and environmental aspirations that shape Bryony’s work.
